A Blender pony Mare base that's rigged & modeled for VRChat Quest compatibility.
Stats:
- 5,652 Triangles.
- 1 Mesh.
- 4K Texture.
- Rigged (humanoid).
- Contains mouth shapes.
This model intends to be a, "Quest First." Model. So aspects such as geometry were carefully maintained to a level that would allow for added features such as manes & tails without bringing the models overall ranking to, "Very Poor." Which will result in Safety features to block the models visibility to other users. Models that are ranked "Very Poor." Are likely to be deleted from VRChat automatically,

Install instructions
Importing Model:
- Upon installing ZIP file user must unpack file contents to access FBX and Texture.
- With Blender installed, open a new project and clean the space of the cube, camera and light.
- Top left of the window select File > Import > FBX.
- Locate MareBase folder and double click to reveal contents inside.
- Double click MareBase FBX file to import into the scene.
Import done!
Connecting Texture:
- Select the Mare model in your Blender scene.
- Go to Properties panel and select Material.
- Locate the Surface dropdown and click on Principled BSDF to reveal other options.
- Click on Emission.
- Select the Shading tab above your Blender scene.
- Hover your mouse down near the Emission node and Right-Click > Add > Texture > Image Texture.
- Click the Open option and find the MareBase folder.
- Find the Mare_AO PNG file and double click to import it.
- Select and drag the Color output into the Emission Color input
- Go back to Material properties and locate the Settings dropdown. Find the Backface Culling option and make sure it's checked on.
Texturing done!
Texture Painting:
- Select the Mare model in your Blender scene.
- Go up to Shading tab above your Blender scene and select it.
- Click on Mare_AO PNG.
- Proceed to select the Texture Paint tab above your Blender scene and select it.
- Set the colors to your liking in the Properties panel. Hit F and drag your mouse across the screen to scale your brush. Click once to lock your brush scale.
- Adjust the Hardness slider above your Blender scene to your liking.
- Click anywhere over the Mare model to paint over it.
- Make sure to select Image > Save as you go along which you can find over your window which shows the models UV as you paint. You may also paint through that same window by clicking anywhere.
Painting done!
